CICRA to host two Sri Lankan teams at Global Cyberlympics

CICRA Education announced yesterday that it will host two teams from Sri Lanka at the annual Global Cyberlympics 2012.

Dutch Team Emerge as World Champions for the Global CyperLympics Hacker Competition

Global CyberLympics (
http://www.cyberlympics.org), the world’s first international team ethical hacking championships, which kicked off in September 2011 with regional live competitions in Budapest, Kuala Lumpur, Dubai and Miami, wrapped up today with the world finals in Chantilly, Virginia where the team formed by Deloitte Netherlands emerged as world champions. Team USA finished as runner up and team Hungary took the third place after a grueling contest.


ITU Secretary-General becomes patron of Global CyberLympics Competition

27 January 2012, Geneva, Switzerland

ITU Secretary-General Dr Hamadoun Touré has been appointed Patron of the Global CyberLympics, an international ethical hacking team championships, which will be held this year in March 2012 in Virginia, USA.


Created by the EC-Council, the Global CyberLympics comprises a series of ethical hacking games involving both offensive and defensive security challenges. The top eight teams, which will qualify through a series of regional competitions in Budapest, Dubai, Miami and Kuala Lumpur, will vie for the world championship title. The purpose of the competition is to establish effective cybersecurity partnerships across borders.

“I look forward to contributing to the success of this initiative,” said Dr Touré. “The achievement of global cyberpeace must be a key objective of governments, the private sector and the international community.”



Europe Championships Concluded: Team from Netherlands Crowned Champions.

The Europe Championships of the Global CyberLympics, held at Hacktivity 2011 in Budapest from September 17-18 has concluded, and a new champion is crown! Congratulations to team “hack.ers”, of Delloite Netherlands. Special mention goes to runners-up team “Six Pistols” from Hungary.
